Setting the bar high in sparring teams
Growth is up to you, but you don't have to be alone. We are living in historic times when the world is being reshaped. Our strength lies in the Finnish identity, where creativity and action are born out of scarce resources.
Our theme this year is Transforming the Business. You implement the renewal of your company together with key executives in your organisation. The focus is on concrete actions on the path to growth. We bring peer pressure and encouraging each other to do better back to the core.
At the heart of peer-to-peer learning is a bold goal: to create new opportunities and discover new growth potential in uncharted territories. Each member works on their own BIG BET for renewal, with the support of their peers. An experienced growth mentor joints each sparring group, to help and support, but also to challenge higher ambition levels. Pitching and peer pressure – even roasting – are a central part of the sparring teams. We challenge each other and encourage bolder decisions and more outrageous promises.
The Growth Collective's community events support the goals of the sparring teams throughout the year. The year begins with a joint Kick Off event, where the entire community meets to get ready for the year. An Insight Day event in autumn highlights the strategic themes that have emerged in the sparring teams, and offers insights into the most promising strategic themes.
This is the year when we will take a growth leap together – bigger and bolder. We are ready to take actions that will truly change the direction of Finland.
Sparring teams consist of around eight members
A member survey is used as help when forming sparring teams. Based on the responses, the teams are designed to support each company's growth journey in the best possible way. The result are teams that offer the right kind of synergy and peer support for their members. Each sparring team has 8–10 members.
What do you commit to?
The year begins with a joint Kick Off event, where the entire community meets to get ready for the year. After that, the sparring group will meet face-to-face once per quarter. An Insight Day event in autumn again brings together the whole community.
You commit to the meetings of your own group, selfless sparring and pushing others to do better. Between meeting you commit to working on your own BIG BET for renewal together with key stakeholders in your own company. The end result is up to your own activity.
A Growth Mentor supports each team
The Growth Mentors are the catalysts for renewal, experienced growth drivers who are not satisfied with the usual. They challenge you to shake up your usual thinking and see greater potential. Each of them have experience from significant achievements, bold solutions and visions that have changed industries and built sustainable growth.
The Growth Mentors challenge you to set the bar higher and take actions that truly matter – not only for your company, but also for the Finnish economy and future.
